UK Clinical Solutions Specialist

Location:

UK-based, remote-first role with expectations of travel. Proximity or direct links to Manchester desirable.

Semi-regular travel to NHS Trusts, independent hospitals, and other customer sites across the UK is expected with monthly visits to our UK offices in Manchester and occasional travel to our Belgian headquarters.

About the Role:

Aexis Medical is looking for a Clinical Solutions Specialist to join our growing UK team as a critical bridge between clinical practice and commercial success. This is a clinically-grounded, product-focused position for someone who has lived and breathed decontamination, endoscopy, or theatre management within the UK healthcare sector, and who is ready to use that expertise to deliver digital transformation that drives real impact for providers.

You will work alongside the UK commercial team across the full sales lifecycle — from identifying the right accounts and establishing peer-level credibility with clinical stakeholders, through to supporting post-sale adoption and expansion. Your technical and organizational knowledge will help shape Aexis Medical commercial offering, product roadmap and customer success efforts.

This role sits within the UK organisation and reports to the company Directors. It is available on a full‑time or part‑time basis, depending on the experience and availability of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

1. CLINICAL ACCOUNT TARGETING & INTELLIGENCE

  • Use your operational knowledge of NHS Trusts and independent units to identify accounts with the greatest unmet need — Trusts under decontamination audit pressure, endoscopy units facing capacity or compliance challenges, and theatres seeking efficiency gains.
  • Work with the commercial team to prioritise the pipeline based on clinical readiness and strategic fit.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of NHS policy, HTM guidelines, decontamination standards, and endoscopy/theatre best practice to spot emerging commercial opportunities.

2. PRE-SALES CLINICAL ENGAGEMENT

  • Lead discovery calls and join prospect meetings as the clinical voice — engaging Decontamination Managers, Lead Endoscopy Nurses, Theatre Coordinators, and clinical governance leads peer-to-peer.
  • Remove the “you don’t understand our world” barrier early in the sales process by demonstrating genuine operational credibility.
  • Conduct clinical workflow mapping sessions to connect customer pain points to Aexis Medical platform capabilities.
  • Work with product experts to develop and deliver solution demonstrations tailored to clinical workflows in decontamination, endoscopy, and perioperative care.

3. COMMERCIAL COLLATERAL & EVIDENCE

  • Support the development of clinically credible materials including case studies, ROI frameworks, and clinical audit summaries that resonate with both procurement teams and clinical governance committees.
  • Help to develop content that provides value to customers and positions Aexis Medical as a trusted partner to clinical leaders, not just a software vendor.

4. POST-SALE CLINICAL PARTNERSHIP

  • Support complex accounts where clinical change management, staff adoption, or relationship rebuilding is needed.
  • Act as a trusted clinical partner during onboarding and go-live.
  • Identify upsell and expansion signals from clinical conversations and feed these back to the commercial team.

5. INTERNAL COLLABORATION & KNOWLEDGE SHARING

  • Act as a floating clinical resource across the commercial team — not siloed to one stage of the funnel.
  • Relay clinical feedback and real-world workflow insights to the product and engineering teams to influence roadmap decisions.
  • Conduct internal training sessions to upskill the wider Aexis Medical team on clinical context, NHS processes, and terminology.

Required Skills & Experience:

CLINICAL & TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Mandatory domain experience in one or more of: Decontamination / Sterile Services (HSDU/CSSD), Endoscopy Unit management, Theatre / Perioperative care management.

  • Ability to speak peer-to-peer with clinical leads, including Decontamination Managers, Lead Endoscopy Nurses, Theatre Coordinators, and clinical governance professionals.
  • Working knowledge of relevant UK standards and frameworks, including HTMs, professional guidelines, JAG and CQC audit requirements, and NHS procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with sales pipeline management, CRM tools, and customer engagement techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, healthcare IT systems, and compliance requirements.

SOFT SKILLS

  • Experience or strong appetite for clinical advisory or customer engagement roles within healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to present complex clinical scenarios to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
  • Confident and credible in front of senior NHS stakeholders, including clinical directors and procurement leads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to varying customer environments.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across commercial, product, and implementation functions.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for translating clinical insight into customer value.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clinical or healthcare management qualification (e.g. senior nursing, theatre coordinator, or decontamination technician at a management level).
  • Experience working with or evaluating digital solutions within a clinical setting.
  • Exposure to NHS procurement frameworks, including G-Cloud or NHS Supply Chain.
  • Experience in leading compliance efforts including JAG accreditation or ISO
