East Lothian Community Hospital (ELCH) has officially gone live with XLine, marking the digital platform’s expansion to five endoscopy sites across the NHS Lothian health board.
Working closely with the team at ELCH, XLine now fully supports the Endoscopy and ENT departments at East Lothian Community Hospital — helping clinical and decontamination teams more efficiently manage their services. Beyond just the endoscope, staff can now digitally record every step within both decontamination workflows and procedure rooms, capturing critical patient safety data.
For many years, traceability in endoscopy relied on paper-based recording, often resulting in fragmented data, human error, and time-consuming searches when information was needed.
Moving to a digital traceability platform like XLine eliminates these challenges by:
