Location:
The role is based in the company’s Belgian Headquarters. We will require you to come to the office regularly and travel 2 to 3 times per year to oversee the development team in Sri Lanka.
Job Description:
- You will contribute to the development of our software packages.
- You will be jointly responsible for managing the support, implementation, QA, and development departments (15 FTEs) in the Tienen office.
- You will lead the team in Sri Lanka (50 FTEs) and closely monitor their projects.
- You will travel to Sri Lanka for 1 to 3 weeks, 2 to 3 times a year.
- You will maintain close contact with our customers regarding technical issues.
- You will support the Technical Director on all ongoing projects and developments.
Knowledge of and experience with:
Software development in Java or .NET
IT architecture and functional analysis
Writing technical and business requirements
Application analysis
Oracle and MS SQL relational databases
Medical/hospital sector
Leadership (also remotely)
Strategic thinking

About Aexis Medical:
Aexis Medical is a Belgian SME that develops medical software for hospitals in Belgium and abroad. We employ 20+ people at our Tienen office, 50 in Sri Lanka and are growing our UK office. All our systems are developed in close collaboration with specialists from the medical field. Our focus is primarily on automating the Operating Room, the Endoscopy Department, and the Central Sterilization Department.
